Enterprise Client Onboarding Quality Checklist (8-Week Deadline)
A practical checklist to avoid rushed go-lives: lock scope, validate integrations, rehearse operations, and define hypercare so the launch holds up under real volume.
The rule for fast onboarding
Speed comes from clarity, not heroics. If the scope changes weekly, the timeline is fictional.
Week 0–1: Quality Gate (Scope & Data)
Week 1–4: Integration Quality Gate (EDI/API)
Week 4–6: Operational Rehearsal Gate
Week 6–8: Go-Live Gate
Key Risks (Enterprise Onboarding)
Risk: "Integration works... until exceptions"
Most failures happen in cancels, backorders, holds, substitutions, and re-ship flows. Test exceptions like they're primary.
Risk: Dirty SKU data creates operational chaos
Bad weights/dims/UOMs quietly break picking, packing, and shipping costs. Validate and lock data governance.
Risk: Unrealistic peak assumptions
If you don't simulate peak order bursts, you'll discover constraints in production when it's expensive to fix.
