Multi-Site WMS Rollout Checklist (6 DCs in 90 Days)

A fast multi-site rollout only works when you standardize what you can, isolate what you must, and run a disciplined cutover + ramp-up per facility. Use this checklist to protect service, accuracy, and throughput across every DC.

Operator lens

Floor-ready workflows, staffing, training, RF/label readiness, cutover runbooks, and hypercare that keeps freight moving.

Sponsor lens

Wave governance, readiness gates, risk visibility, stop/go triggers, and KPI-based hypercare exit criteria.

How to use this page

  1. Lock a site template (core process + core configuration) and manage exceptions tightly.
  2. Run gates per site: Site Readiness → Testing → Cutover Gate → Hypercare → Exit.
  3. Do not cut over until the Cutover Gate is green.
  4. Do not exit hypercare until KPIs hold steady for 5–10 business days.

Key risk callouts

Risk: Standardization theater

If each DC becomes a custom build, your timeline breaks. Protect a core template and keep exceptions rare.

Risk: Under-resourced hypercare

Go-live success is operational. Without floor support, training gaps turn into service failures.

Risk: Inventory integrity drift

If receiving/putaway discipline slips, accuracy collapses downstream. Enforce scan discipline early.

Long-term maintenance

Need a rollout plan that scales beyond Site 1?

We can turn this checklist into a wave runbook with owners, readiness scoring, and a repeatable hypercare model for each DC.
